From ABCs to AI & Adventures: A Dive into My Latest Projects

Hello and welcome to a peek into my world of creation!

I’m Ivo Gruner, and I’m passionate about building tools and resources that make life a little easier, a bit more fun, and hopefully, help us all learn and explore. My interests are pretty broad, spanning from early childhood education and practical tech utilities to personal health and local exploration.

Today, I’m excited to share a few projects I’ve been working on. They’re quite different from each other, but each one was born from a desire to solve a problem or create a positive experience.

Let’s dive in!

1. Making ABCs Fun: The Interactive Mini-Site

Learning the alphabet is a monumental step for preschoolers (ages 4-6)! To make this foundational stage joyful and engaging, I created a super simple, interactive mini-website. It turns letter practice into a game with instant rewards.

  • What it is: A colorful online tool displaying one big letter at a time. Kids type the letter and get a fun emoji fireworks celebration for correct answers!
  • Why it’s cool: It’s distraction-free, offers easy toggling between uppercase (A) and lowercase (a), and allows switching between alphabetical (📜) and random (🎲) order. The changing background adds visual excitement.
  • Perfect for: Parents looking for a fun, interactive way to introduce letters without downloads or complications.

2. Taming Text: The Online Text Splitter

Ever wrestled with a huge text file that’s too big to handle easily? Especially when working with AI models like ChatGPT that have input limits? I built a free online Text Splitter to solve just that.

  • What it is: A simple web tool where you can upload a .txt file or paste text. It splits your text into smaller chunks based on a line limit you set.
  • Why it’s cool: It makes long documents manageable for editing, analysis, or pasting into applications with size restrictions. It’s fast and completely free.
  • Perfect for: Writers, developers, students, researchers, or anyone who needs to work with large text datasets or wants to optimize text input for AI chats.

➡️ Chunk your text ideas easily!

3. Coloring Fun Meets Learning: Kids‘ Coloring Books

Coloring is a fantastic activity for kids, fostering creativity and fine motor skills. I wanted to add an educational twist to this classic activity, exploring modern themes alongside beloved classics.

  • What it is: A collection of coloring books featuring a mix of themes. You’ll find engaging STEM content, AI, and Robotics alongside timeless favorites like knights, unicorns, cars, and princesses.
  • Why it’s cool: It combines fun coloring with exposure to interesting topics, sparking curiosity about science and technology in a playful way, while still offering plenty of classic imaginative scenes.
  • Perfect for: Parents and educators seeking coloring materials that are both entertaining and subtly educational, covering a wide range of children’s interests.

4. Fueling Your Body: The Keto NutriTracker App

Tracking macronutrients is key for many dietary approaches, especially Keto. I developed a mobile app specifically tailored to make macro tracking intuitive and effective for those following a ketogenic lifestyle.

  • What it is: A mobile application optimized for tracking protein, fats, and carbs, with features designed to support a Keto diet.
  • Why it’s cool: It simplifies the process of logging meals and monitoring your daily macro intake, helping you stay on track with your Keto goals efficiently.
  • Perfect for: Individuals following a ketogenic diet who need a focused and easy-to-use tool for detailed macro tracking.

5. Discovering Bremen: The 100 Trips Website

Living in or visiting Bremen? There’s so much to explore! I put together a website compiling 100 diverse trip ideas in and around the city.

  • What it is: A website featuring 100 curated trip suggestions around Bremen.
  • Why it’s cool: The trips are categorized by different groups (families, couples, solo), activity styles (nature, culture, active), and modes of transportation (bike, public transport, car). It takes the guesswork out of planning your next outing.
  • Perfect for: Bremen locals looking for new ideas, visitors wanting to see the sights, and anyone who loves exploring their surroundings with planned routes.
